Bret Cloward

CEO

Bret has worked in the healthcare profession for over 20 years. Included in his experience was his work with several of the largest national hospice companies. It was during that time he became convinced that hospice could be done better. He was inspired to create a hospice where the focus was first and foremost on the patients and their families, and thus Inspiration Hospice was born. Bret has combined his own management, financial and operational skills with those of an All-Star team: People who have had years of experience in this unique field, but more than that, individuals for whom hospice is their passion. Bret has succeeded is creating more than just a hospice. He has created a family. The reward is the exceptional care and improved quality of life they each provide to their patients and families.

Shar has been volunteering and working in healthcare for over fifteen years.  She joined Bret to help form Inspiration when the company was just getting started.  Having worked together in hospice for years before that, Shar and Bret have a shared belief that hospice is a specialty, requiring a myriad of talents, skills and expertise – together with a passion for the work we do.  Shar’s background and experience in volunteer management was crucial in developing the nationally acclaimed Volunteer and 11th Hour Program that Inspiration Hospice is so proud of today.  In addition, Shar has developed a unique Support Services program that ensures continuity of care throughout a family’s journey in hospice, including ongoing bereavement care and support.
